In THIS article for The Sun, Dana White is directly quoted saying...
| Quote: | White revealed: “If GSP beats BJ then you’ll see Silva v GSP - possibly at a catch weight.
“But if Penn beats GSP there’s no way I’d let him move up to 185lbs, no way.
“He’ll f***ing fight, argue and cry about it but there’s no way – it ain’t gonna happen, I can tell you that right now – it ain’t gonna happen.” |

I know Anderson Silva is like God and all, but I wouldnt dimiss GSP's skill. This would be a hell of a fight. Also, GSP WILL beat BJ penn. _________________ Wanderer On Wheels. |

I give the nod to Silva, but not easily, and I wouldn't be shocked if GSP won.
I hope this fight actually happens someday.
Dana sounds pretty serious up there. |

I'm not sure that GSP gets past BJ Penn. _________________ Life gives you lemons? Make toilet beer. |

GSP is just too much for BJ Penn and I haven't seen BJ Penn doing anything in training to improve, just more of the same old predictable shit. |

| I don't remember BJ using knees as well as he did when he knocked Sherk down at the end of round 3. I think his jab improved, so did his cardio. And his bob and weave is better than GSP's. |

Not saying that BJ will win this rematch hands down, but both Penn and GSP have improved, so it will be a competitive fight rather than a GSP win by pwnage like how he beat Hughes.
I still give Penn the advantage in the standup. In the first fight, if we disregard the eye poke, it was even in the standup. While GSP's wrestling has improved by leaps and bounds, I think Penn's striking has improved more than GSP's. |
