It was busted. But. In season 4 episode 3, they tried it again with better results, but not able to fully sink the ship. MIT deems the verdict "feasible" just not likely, due to the many variables.

But I'm not so interested in this myth. What I was more interested in this follow up was they briefly showcased a spot in CA, where they are using Archimedes parabola to heat up vats of water, are hot enough to run a steam engine! In terms of sustainable energy, this could be really viable.

But if you find a link, please post and share. I would love to know the name of this institute that is doing this. I think this could be a great use of solar energy.
